Motorboat Vivace - Clifford Edgecombe

Dear Lisa,

Just to let you know that your guys were incredibly helpful over the weekend putting the boat in the water at short notice. Great service, thank you.

Freddie - Orkney 21 - 'Puffin'

There is a complete aim of happiness, a very good feeling of success and amenability.
Jeremy Fisher - Fairline 33 - 'Noonie II'

The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and efficient.
Gerry Ayres – 'Cutter Sark'

Very helpful at all times and a feeling of dealing with people much more interested in what you need than a typical boat yard/marina.
Richard Land - Princess 33 'Crystal Blue'

Hi Lisa,

...So glad I don't have to tow the RIB, blow it up, wait to use the slipway etc etc. I love Drystack!

Regards,

Jon

Just a quick note of thanks for taking the time to show us around the facility this afternoon. We’re extremely impressed by both the facility and the friendliness of you guys. We’re delighted that we’re able to dry-berth our boat with you.

Best regards, Paul & Gill (Quicksilver 750)

Hi Lisa

Emailing to express my thanks for all the help with and the safe winter storage for my yacht, Blue Horizon.  It was  a great experience to be at Trafalgar Wharf and all the people there could not have been more helpful.  You have some excellent support services on site - Canvatech and Ray Austin to name but two.

Whilst it is great to be back in the water and sailing again, I am looking forward to being back with you at the end of the season.

Regards
Jon Scoles.

Hi Lisa

We were certainly very happy with the service Trafalgar Wharf in general, and you in particular, provided last winter. Your friendly and personal touch was very welcome and we have been recommending you to our friends. All the best, Alex Archbold

Thanks to all at Trafalgar Wharf involved in hauling out and re-
launching my boat Knight's Challenge. The facilities for DIY work were very good and staff were very helpful. I intend to return to TW the next time the boat comes ashore. I am happy to recommend the yard to other yacht owners.

We laid-up our Westerley Vulcan last winter at Trafalgar Wharf from November to March. We found all staff extremely friendly and helpful and the boat placed on a secure tarmac hard standing with plenty of room to work around it. There was also handy electricity points and water supply and very clean, convenient toilet facilities. It is our intention to return for the same period this coming winter.

Lisa,

about the testimonial, the problem is that when you find something good its best to keep it to yourself otherwise everyone will be in on it and you don't get a look in yourself.

Its best to say what we did not like about two other yards in the area over recent seasons,

We did not like a dusty dirty yard.

We did not like the crane lifting boats over our heads, where the only warning was the overload bell ringing.

We did not like the crane spreader beam wrecking our wind vane and VHF aerial

We did not like our boat being blocked up using 45 gallon oil drums.

We did not like our boat being left by the yard to lay on its side in the mud pending the tide rising.

We did not like so little space between stored boats that it was impossible to get an electric polisher between them.

We did not like being promised a lift out for March and then put off until May.

None of this happened at Trafalgar, we were given our choice of lift out time, considering the tide state. The boat was stored safely in a clean spacious yard, near electricity and water points. The rates were competitive. And finding meal facilities and shower rooms was a bonus.

Many thanks for the Stay.

“The need for a mid-winter lift of my Sealine Motor Boat was forced on me by an underwater part coming to the end of its service life. It made sense to carry out some preventative maintenance at the same time. Rain, snow, wind and sub zero temperatures are not ideal conditions to work on boats so undercover facilities were needed.

A neighbour recommended Trafalgar Wharf as he had undertaken a major refit earlier in the year. A quick telephone call answered all my questions and the boat was lifted within the week.

My experience ashore was the best I have received during the past 25 years. The yard staff were not only skilled but they made sure that everything was carried out to a mutually agreeable timetable. The charges were competitive with other yards in the area but the service provided was superior.

I have no hesitation in recommending the yard to others and my next lift out will certainly be at Trafalgar Wharf.

"I found the Trafalgar Wharf staff at Portchester really helpful - especially Lisa Simpson. This is a great place to lay up your boat for the winter".

"We are the new owners of a 20 metre, 30 ton Dutch barge (SO99).  Naturally when we were looking for a boat yard to use, we made many local comparisons on facilities, price and 'attitude' before deciding on Trafalgar Wharf.  Over the years, in different yachts, we have hauled out in many yards in Europe and in the United States and have been surprised in places at varying levels of safety and service.  At Trafalgar Wharf our barge was out of the ordinary but the haul out was carefully judged, quietly executed and above all safe.  We felt she was in safe hands at all times.  We are now into our refit and find everyone responsive and helpful and would certainly recommend Trafalgar Wharf to our friends and fellow yachties."

“Such a great place to keep the boat over the winter. As a relatively new boat owner, I am paranoid about other people touching my ‘baby’.  My fear was totally unfounded when I witnessed 1st hand the precision and care taken over the lift-out and parking of my beloved Westerly Fulmar.  Spacious yet secure and sheltered surroundings, not to mention the on-site cafe for those finger-thawing cups of drink and warm food.  I will not hesitate to re-book for next winter."
