We really did enjoy our time with you. It was good to have space to work on the boat while out of the water and the staff at Trafalgar Wharf were very helpful. There is a clear advantage in being part of a big boat yard with lots of small specialist businesses we could call upon for services. I would recommend you to any friends that were looking for storage.
All the best,
FLEUR ELYSE, Dufour 29
Dear Leah and Corinne,
I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our recent stay ashore with you at Trafalgar Wharf. These necessary periods out of the water can be a real chore for a boat owner and yards are often blind to our needs and deaf to our requests. It is a pleasure to say that this is simply not the case at Trafalgar Wharf as you could hardly do any more for us and you responded instantly to any request or feedback. Tony and his yard team are true experts and give freely of their time for advice. Their superb handling of our yacht during launch in very difficult conditions was in itself worthy of congratulation. You provided everything we asked for and exceeded our expectations. The cafe is a fantastic benefit and the smell of bacon frying.....well, what could we do but break for a butty!
We certainly recommend you with total confidence to our friends at every opportunity. You provide true value for money with absolutely no hint of a 'rip-off' of making a fast buck!
Thanks again and see you next year.
2013 is the second time I have used Trafalgar Wharf for my Spring maintenance and both times I have been more that satisfied with the service I have received.
The staff at the yard are approachable, knowledgeable and friendly and adopt a flexible approach. For example I am unable to get away from work during the week but the staff are quite happy to lift her and relaunch her in my absence.
Being a classic wooden yawl Capreolus always needs her paint and varnish redone in the spring and the yard is aways mindful of our needs by making sure there is sufficient space around her to to the job effectively and allowing me to park my trailer full of tools and materials close to the job. One of the most important benefits of using Trafalgar Wharf is that you are left to get on with the job in hand and that you don't feel that you are being constantly checked up upon or moaned at for making dust, noise etc.
The charges are reasonable but most of all transparent with no hidden extras being added on.
In summary I would not hesitate recommending Trafalgar Wharf to any of my friends and look forward to working on Capreolus there in 2014.
It’s always great to read your information, your site must be the most informative and proactive Marina site ever! Keep up the good work & take care.
"Just completed our first time winter layup at Trafalgar Wharf. It was a good choice. All the arrangements worked like clockwork, all the staff were very friendly and helpful, and it was nice to be in a “real” boat yard too. Coffee and muffins from the office and a farewell gift from the team was just the icing on the cake. Top marks all round … we’ll be back."

"Simply brilliant service and people, Trafalgar Wharf set itself a high bar in friendly, flexible and professional service that is seldom seen in the marine industry and far superior to its local competition."
BRAVEHEART OF POOLE
I had Kingfisher of Forton lifted out of the water back last November as I needed to do some maintenance on her over the winter. I was pleased with my choice to use Trafalgar Wharf as the staff were very welcoming and I felt that my business was appreciated.
I would recommend Trafalgar Wharf to my friends and anyone looking for a friendly boat yard. The only thing Trafalgar Wharf could improve on was the weather! But I understand this is on the to do list!
KINGFISHER OF FORTON
I received a call from Corinne, The Sales Manager at Trafalgar Wharf who said she had some exciting news for me! I had won “The winter storage draw” and that I would receive my whole Winter Package for free. I was absolutely surprised and delighted.
My boat, Pocomoto (Sadler 32) was berthed for the winter of 2011-12 on the hard standing at Trafalgar Wharf, Portsmouth. From the outset the staff were helpful and accommodating.
In addition to offices staffed by these good natured people, a significant advantage of Trafalgar Wharf is the abundance of businesses located on site or nearby which are fully involved in one way or another with yachts and yachting. These range from marine engineers, electricians, joiners, brokers and many more.
Thank you Trafalgar Wharf for all aspects of your generosity, may we meet again soon.
We would like to give a big thank you to all at Trafalgar Wharf. We have had a very pleasant stay and have been very pleased with all the staff and the services provided. Everyone is polite, kind and helpful and we would recommend Trafalgar Wharf to anyone. There is also a good selection of tenants across the site that has helped us along the way.
Thank you again and we look forward to coming back next year.
I shopped around for rates last winter for my 34ft sailing yacht. This was my first winter as a boat owner and so two things were key to me. Firstly competitive rates, and secondly an element of handholding and support with some of my worries. Trafalgar Wharf fulfilled both these elements. Rates were good, and the helpfulness of the yard staff was everything I had hoped for from lift out through to my return to the water. The 24 hour access was very convenient, and security was well covered.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation and thanks to all of the staff at Trafalgar Wharf.
After 'Dulcie's' extended stay at TW her relaunch was a totally painless and stress free exercise, due entirely to the skill and professionalism of Tony, Phil and Jim.
Any boat owner would be hard pressed to find a more professional, accommodating and pleasant facility in which to carry out those necessary land based maintenance, repairs or renovations that we all need from time to time.
Once again, my thanks to all at Trafalgar.

Just to let you know that your guys were incredibly helpful over the weekend putting the boat in the water at short notice. Great service, thank you.
There is a complete aim of happiness, a very good feeling of success and amenability.
Jeremy Fisher - Fairline 33 - 'Noonie II'
The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and efficient.
Gerry Ayres – 'Cutter Sark'
Very helpful at all times and a feeling of dealing with people much more interested in what you need than a typical boat yard/marina.

...So glad I don't have to tow the RIB, blow it up, wait to use the slipway etc etc. I love Drystack!
Just a quick note of thanks for taking the time to show us around the facility this afternoon. We’re extremely impressed by both the facility and the friendliness of you guys. We’re delighted that we’re able to dry-berth our boat with you.
Best regards, Paul & Gill (Quicksilver 750)

"Using the boat yard at Trafalgar has been great, the facilities and location are brilliant and I'm happy to recommend it to others in future"
Emailing to express my thanks for all the help with and the safe winter storage for my yacht, Blue Horizon. It was a great experience to be at Trafalgar Wharf and all the people there could not have been more helpful. You have some excellent support services on site - Canvatech and Ray Austin to name but two.
Whilst it is great to be back in the water and sailing again, I am looking forward to being back with you at the end of the season.
I would like to express my appreciation to yourself and your colleagues for all the help your team has given us.

We were certainly very happy with the service Trafalgar Wharf in general, and you in particular, provided last winter. Your friendly and personal touch was very welcome and we have been recommending you to our friends. All the best, Alex Archbold
Thanks to all at Trafalgar Wharf involved in hauling out and re-
launching my boat Knight's Challenge. The facilities for DIY work were very good and staff were very helpful. I intend to return to TW the next time the boat comes ashore. I am happy to recommend the yard to other yacht owners.

We laid-up our Westerley Vulcan last winter at Trafalgar Wharf from November to March. We found all staff extremely friendly and helpful and the boat placed on a secure tarmac hard standing with plenty of room to work around it. There was also handy electricity points and water supply and very clean, convenient toilet facilities. It is our intention to return for the same period this coming winter.
John Hall, 'Moljon IV' (Westerley Vulcan)
'Moody' owner tells Trafalgar Wharf what he really thinks...
about the testimonial, the problem is that when you find something good its best to keep it to yourself otherwise everyone will be in on it and you don't get a look in yourself.
Its best to say what we did not like about two other yards in the area over recent seasons,
We did not like a dusty dirty yard.
We did not like the crane lifting boats over our heads, where the only warning was the overload bell ringing.
We did not like the crane spreader beam wrecking our wind vane and VHF aerial
We did not like our boat being blocked up using 45 gallon oil drums.
We did not like our boat being left by the yard to lay on its side in the mud pending the tide rising.
We did not like so little space between stored boats that it was impossible to get an electric polisher between them.
We did not like being promised a lift out for March and then put off until May.
None of this happened at Trafalgar, we were given our choice of lift out time, considering the tide state. The boat was stored safely in a clean spacious yard, near electricity and water points. The rates were competitive. And finding meal facilities and shower rooms was a bonus.
Many thanks for the Stay.

“The need for a mid-winter lift of my Sealine Motor Boat was forced on me by an underwater part coming to the end of its service life. It made sense to carry out some preventative maintenance at the same time. Rain, snow, wind and sub zero temperatures are not ideal conditions to work on boats so undercover facilities were needed.
A neighbour recommended Trafalgar Wharf as he had undertaken a major refit earlier in the year. A quick telephone call answered all my questions and the boat was lifted within the week.
My experience ashore was the best I have received during the past 25 years. The yard staff were not only skilled but they made sure that everything was carried out to a mutually agreeable timetable. The charges were competitive with other yards in the area but the service provided was superior.
I have no hesitation in recommending the yard to others and my next lift out will certainly be at Trafalgar Wharf.

"I found the Trafalgar Wharf staff at Portchester really helpful - especially Lisa Simpson. This is a great place to lay up your boat for the winter".
Alan Behagg, 'Alberta Rose' (Legend 35)
"We are the new owners of a 20 metre, 30 ton Dutch barge (SO99). Naturally when we were looking for a boat yard to use, we made many local comparisons on facilities, price and 'attitude' before deciding on Trafalgar Wharf. Over the years, in different yachts, we have hauled out in many yards in Europe and in the United States and have been surprised in places at varying levels of safety and service. At Trafalgar Wharf our barge was out of the ordinary but the haul out was carefully judged, quietly executed and above all safe. We felt she was in safe hands at all times. We are now into our refit and find everyone responsive and helpful and would certainly recommend Trafalgar Wharf to our friends and fellow yachties."

“Such a great place to keep the boat over the winter. As a relatively new boat owner, I am paranoid about other people touching my ‘baby’. My fear was totally unfounded when I witnessed 1st hand the precision and care taken over the lift-out and parking of my beloved Westerly Fulmar. Spacious yet secure and sheltered surroundings, not to mention the on-site cafe for those finger-thawing cups of drink and warm food. I will not hesitate to re-book for next winter."
